IDDT Event 2024 – ‘Living with Diabetes’

We start the day with our Annual General Meeting followed by the programme of a combination of speakers and discussion groups. We are pleased to welcome the following speakers:

• Professor Alan Sinclair, an international expert in diabetes, especially in older people.
• Dr Charles Fox, again well-known and for many years the consultant physician taking care of people with diabetes in Northampton.
• Abban Qayyum, Senior Specialist Physiotherapist, is joining us to help us understand the effects of physical activity on diabetes management.
• Dr Mabel Blades, a dietitian, will be leading the group to discuss diet and will be around all day for you to chat to.
• Ken Heard will lead a discussion group on ‘Type 2 & You’.
• Jane Cheetham and her colleague from Abbott Laboratories will have a stand and will be there to discuss the FreeStyle Libre 2 and answer any questions.

The discussion groups and speakers will be interesting for you and it is an opportunity to meet other people with diabetes.

We hope that you will join us on 28th September 2024! Teas, coffees and a meal at lunchtime are provided. The cost is £30.00 per person and £15.00 per person for OAPs or those on benefits.
